Cucumber Tzatziki Sauce
Most classicly paired with a gyro or falafel, this homemade Tzatziki is good enough to scoop up with crackers.
|Serving size:||1/2 cup|

|Total time:||7 minutes|
Medium bowl, Measuring Cups and Spoons
1/2 cucumber halved with seeds removed
3/4 cup low-fat plain Greek yogurt
2 cloves garlic pressed or minced, or 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh dill, minced
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Before you begin, wash your hands, surfaces, produce, and utensils.
- Dice each cucumber half. Place cucumber pieces into a paper towel and press to remove excess water.
- In a medium bowl, add the cucumber, yogurt, garlic, red wine vinegar, fresh dill, salt, and black pepper and mix well. Store covered in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Save the other 1/2 of the cucumber for topping your gyro, or to try with another CYP recipe, like our watermelon salad.
